The POINT is Back!

Our Middle School Youth Group, the POINT, will have its Fall Kick-Off event to start off the new year of fun for 6th, 7th and 8th grade youth. the POINT – “Practice  Of  INTentional faith” – strives to help youth live their faith on a daily basis.

Cafe’ Night Africa

“Christ at the heart of African life: the source of reconciliation, justice and peace.” These words from Africa Munus, by Pope Emeritus Benedict, set the tone for this evening’s talk by Laura Bowman, missionary in Africa. She will recount her experiences of engaging in mission work on the continent of Saint Bakhita’s home.

This is open for men and women of all ages who want to know more about our brothers and sisters of Africa.

 Women’s Studies: Edith Stein

A second group is forming to discuss: Edith Stein: Seeker of Truth!

It is the story of a 20th century saint, a German-Jewish philosopher who converted to Catholicism, became a Carmelite nun, and was eventually martyred in Auschwitz. Her life story is that of a scholar searching for ultimate truth, which “…she finally discovered truth has a name, it is Jesus Christ.” This challenging and engaging study is perfect for all women who share Stein’s longing for uncompromising truth found in the beauty of Church teaching.  For women of all ages!

It emphasizes how men and women should treat one another based on their inherent human dignity given them by their Creator. This four-part series is designed to help teens face our culture with Catholic values, more fully understanding their dignity in Christ.  For High School Youth!

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries proudly announces the 3rd Annual Middle School Catholic Youth Conference for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The excellent speakers and workshops will allow our youth to learn new things about service to others and saints!  Exciting High Energy activities have been planned, including a time to prepare for Advent.
